For first time learners piano notes reading might seem like a daunting task, but once the basics are learn it becomes very easy. Learners learn the names of the piano notes first, it is so simple that they would have to memorize only seven of them as music is a resultant of these seven note combinations.
The piano notes bear the names of the English alphabets, they are A, B, C, D, E, F and G. Piano music has two staves or staffs called the Bass Clef and the Treble Clef and the seven notes are placed on the spaces and lines, known as music staff. The piano notes starting from the keyboard’s lower portion are placed on the Bass Clef while the piano notes starting from the keyboard’s upper portion are placed on the Treble clef.
Normally the left hand of a person is used for playing the Bass Clef notes and the right hand of a person is used for playing the Treble Clef notes. The key for reading the notes of piano depends on the knowledge of keys in relation to the notes written on the music sheet. Learning to read piano notes involves more practice and various concepts.
It is not mandatory to stick to the acronyms meant for remembering the key notes but the learner can come up with his own way of remembering them. Some of the popular acronyms related to piano notes reading are “Every good boy does fine” for E-G-B-D-F and “Face” for F-A-C-E for the treble clef and for the bass clef “Great big dog fight animals” acronym is used for G-B-D-F-A” and “All cows eat grass” for C-E-G.
